Sharing God's Love With Family And Community

Welcome To Bethany

Reformed Church Logo

Bethany is a congregation of individuals who share one thing, an overwhelming love for Christ. Please take a few minutes to investigate how our commitment to Him is carried out through our many ministries and activities. Join us as we rejoice in the gift of the Holy Spirit celebrating the love of Christ by sharing it with our neighbors. Why not join us in worship this Sunday?

If you haven't yet visited Bethany in person, we invite you to join us for worship Sundays at 10:00 a.m. for our traditional service or on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. for our Praise Connection contemporary service at the Friendship House. We are located at 1833 South Burdick Street, just south of the central city. For more information on where we are and where to park, click here.

Celebrate!
Celebrate with us as we discover the power of the Holy Spirit and the revealing of God's plan of salvation for all who believe in Him. "God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die." (John 3:16 CEV)

Please join us each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for our blended worship service utilizing traditonal hymns and contemporary Christian music, or for our Wednesday evening contemporary Praise Connection service in front of the Friendship House at 6:00 p.m. When the weather is bad we'll be inside the Friendship House.

When you visit Bethany, stop by the Visitor's Table located outside of the office on the upper floor of the north wing. In addition to answering all of your questions, we have a coffee mug and pen to remind you of your visit.

Food Distribution
Bethany, in cooperation with Loaves and Fishes, the Salvation Army, and Greenwood Reformed Church has begun a monthly food distribution at the Salvation Army.  This program, in addition to the Food Pantry, will provide food to all who come. Held the fourth Wednesday of each month, volunteers are needed to prepare the food for distribution, help distribute the items and assist the recipients in carrying the items to their cars. To volunteer or for more information, contact info@bethany-kalamazoo.org. In the picture at the right,  Sebastian deCastro packages cabbages for distribution. For more pictures click here.

Sharing Our New Vision
As a part of our church self-study and decision making process, the people of Bethany spent a time of prayer and study to discern God's purpose for our ministry. See the new vision statement by clicking here. Please continue to remain in prayer for the process and the answers we seek.

Download Each Sunday's Message
A new feature is the ability to download Sunday's sermon in MP3 format. Check the bottom of the Pastor's Word page for the links or the new Media section for sermons and other documents that are available online.

Weather Cancellations
When weather conditions are severe enough to cause cancellation of a scheduled service or activity notification will be made through this website as well as on WWMT channel 3. A decision to cancel a morning worship service will be made by 8:30 a.m.
