Back To School Carnival 2012
Back To School Carnival 2013
The 2013 Carnival was the largest yet. The weather was beautiful--clear blue skies and the temperature was in the low 80's. Over 250 backpacks were distributed to preschool through high school aged neighborhood children. Parents and children enjoyed 475 hot dogs, 15 gallons of punch and lemonade, 200 bags of pop corn, and 300 Sno-Cones.
Back To School Carnival 2014
Like 2013, 2014 was a beautiful late summer day, in the upper 80's but high the high humidity made it uncomfortable. As a result, the lemonade, snow-cones and water went fast! Over 400 hot dogs and 250 bags of potato chips were given out with 260 backpacks. A group of 10 men from Praise Baptist Church helped with setup, serving the food, and clean up. A great day for sharing.
Back To School Carnival 2015
For the first time in the history of the Back To School Carnivals we had a rainy day. The downpour led to the Carnival to be postponed for two weeks to September 12, a week after school had begun. It was a beautiful sunny day, however, well worth the wait.
