Sharing God's Love With Family And Community

The 2003 Bethany Mission Trip

In 2003 a group from Bethany went to Budapest, Hungary to assist RCA missionaries David and Joy Zomer with a vacation Bible school and college student ministry. In addition, Bethany's music director, Louise Bennink, performed organ concerts in several Hungarian and Romanian churches where no one has played the organ since the Communist takeover following World War II. Below are some pictures from the trip.

Washing clothes.
In this small Romanian village clothes are still washed in a stream. Eastern Europe is still a study in contrast, but it is an area anxious to find Christ.

Bible School

Louise and Children
Spreading the light of Christ is the Christian's calling. Sharing it with children brings a greater blessing.

Josh and Louise meet with a family. Through an interpreter, they share their faith in Christ as they learn about their hosts culture.

Louise provided several organ concerts while visiting churches in Hungary and Romania. One of the organs had not been played since the communists had taken over following World War II.
