The 2005 Mission Trip

In July of 2005, twenty-two Bethany members of all ages traveled to Velletri, Italy to work at Ecumene, a camp located in the Patrician mountains about 30 miles south of Rome. While there, they helped to develop a play ground and recreation area for the campers. The camp, under the direction ofа the Evangelical Waldensian and Methodist Churches of Italy, serves as an international meeting place for Christians from Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

The Goals of Ecumene

Хаааааааа To provide a center where people from all over the world might gather and explore their diverse religious inheritances, respect others and recognize the unity of ChristТs Church.

Хаааааааа To provide a center for reflection and encouragement of personal growth in faith.

Хаааааааа To be committed to social responsibility and justice.

Хаааааааа To form friendships and experience ChristТs love in community.

The 2003 Mission Trip

In 2003 a group from Bethany went to Budapest, Hungary to assist RCA missionaries David and Joy Zomer with a vacation Bible school and college student ministry. In addition, Bethany's music director, Louise Bennink, performed organ concerts in several Hungarian and Romanian churches where no one has played the organ since the Communist takeover following World War II. Below are some pictures from the trip.
