Children's Sunday Programs
Infant Nursery
Our Nursery is staffed throughout the morning worship service and the Sunday School hour to allow parents an uninterrupted time of worship and study.
Toddler Nursery
Our Toddler program includes a structured playtime during the morning worship service followed by the pre-school Sunday School class.
The nurseries are located in the West Educational Wing.
Junior Church
This program is for children in grades Kindergarten through fourth grade. It begins following the Children's Sermon in the morning worship service and concludes with snacks for the children. The Children's Worship Center is located in the West Educational Wing.
Compassion/Mercy Ministries
Loaves And Fishes Food Pantry
Bethany sponsors a Loves And Fishes Food Pantry at the Friendship House. This ministry provides food assistance to those in need.
Restore
Bethany sponsors the Restore ministry, a ministry to assist people who are incarcerated or are coming out of incarceration. Restore seeks to provide Christian support and role models as they re-enter society. Contact Sebastion deCastro for more information.
Parish Nurse
A parish nurse is a professional nurse who is called and committed to the healing ministry of the church. The parish nurse helps to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the members. For more information contact Bethany.
Christian Education Ministries
Children's Sunday School
The Children's Sunday School includes classes from pre-school through third grade. This program is part of the Junior Worship time. For information about location of classes ask a greeter or at the Visitor's Table or contact the church at Info@bethany-kalamazoo.org.
Youth Sunday School
Our Youth Sunday School covers middle school aged young adults. This class meets in the third floor Youth Room at 10:00 a.m.
High School Worship and Priase
Our high school students are encouraged to worship with the Gospel Cafe at 11:30 in the Chapel. This contemporary service incorporates music and Bible study in a relaxed, informal setting.
Adult Sunday School
Join Pastor Terwilliger in the Bennink Social Hall. The class begins at 11:30 after a fellowship time in the Centennial Room following the morning worship service. Contact Pastor Terwilliger at Terwilliger@bethany-kalamazoo.org for more information.
Women's Ministries
Bible Study Circles
The Bible Study Circles provide a time of Bible study, prayer and sharing for women. Circles meet in the morning, the afternoon or in the evening providing an opportunity for nearly every schedule. Contact Info@bethany-kalamazoo.org for more information.
Prayer Ministry
Bethany's Prayer Chain
Bethany's Prayer Chain plays an important role in times of crisis. As urgent needs for prayer are made known, members of the Prayer Chain contact each member of the church allowing all of God's people to pray as one. The power of prayer is awesome!
Music Ministries
Adult Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir takes part in worship each Sunday and meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for rehearsal. Musical training is not required and everyone with a love for singing is invited to join. Contemporary Worship Praise Team
The Praise Team helps to present the Gospel Cafe Service and lead the praise songs in the traditional service. The emphasis is on contemporary Christian music and is led by Tim Meisling. Missions Support
Global Missions
Through the Reformed Church, Bethany supports missionaries in Mexico, Niger and Italy.
Local Missions
Bethany supports a variety of local ministries including the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, the Reformed Church Campus Ministry, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantries, Restore, the Christian Resource Center and the Shepherds' Center. Additionally, Bethany provides meeting space for Narcotics Anonymous in the Friendship House.
